I'm Christan, the creator of Naturally Rooted Birth Services LLC. With a passion for all things birth, my intention is to support, prepare, educate and empower you through your beautiful birth journey in whichever way and wherever

My love for birth was one that began early in life, but I planted my feet on this journey after the birth of my son in 2016. After his birth, I felt a deep desire to support and advocate for women and families. I have felt so inspired and excited to have found this work that aligns so deeply with many of my values and aspirations to help my community. I am elated to continue to pursue this work further, offer support aiming to help change the narrative and positively transform birth and maternal health.
I am professionally trained and certified in childbirth and breast feeding support, I am a prenatal yoga instructor and certified herbal counselor in women's health and wellness.
I provide local services in Tampa Bay and surrounding areas as well as virtual support to mamas far away.
I am honored to share sacred space and look forward to growing alongside you on this beautiful journey!
My mission is to change the narrative of birth and encourage mamas to know that birth should not be feared; but honored, rejoiced, viewed as powerful, seen as sacred and witnessed as empowering! As your doula I will educate, advocate, empower, love, nurture, and support you through your beautiful journey into motherhood (before, during and after birth) while caring for your family along the way. My role acknowledges that you should be respected for possessing the ONLY door that opens for generations to enter this realm. I understand how sacred this time is and will always hold space and ensure your peace with that in mind. I will continuously remind you of your strength and power because I too have treaded the waters of birth and acknowledge how easy it is to lose sight of what is ahead. You will never feel that you are voiceless and vulnerable in a time where you should feel the most empowered; because as your doula, my mission is to prepare, empower and support you!
